Muppets Party Cruise
If you have read my review of Shrek
Super Party, you know that I am a huge fan of games with mini games
that the whole family can enjoy. Before Christmas, I searched all over
the Internet to find a new game for our family. Thankfully, I came
across Muppets Party Cruise for the Playstation.
Like Shrek, Muppets is a marathon-type game made up for many mini
games of varying skill levels. You can choose your characters at the
beginning and play up to 4 players. What Muppets features that Shrek did
not is the ability to open more mini games as you beat the computer
characters. We have been playing for over a month and have not yet
unlocked all of the games!
Initially I could not get into the games because they seemed a little
hard for me. But after playing a few times, I became addicted! While I
do not do well in the remote control car and boat mini games no matter
how hard I try, no one can beat me in the games that require nothing
more than fast fingers.
My two-year-old and four-year-old are not old enough to play the
games by themselves but are entertained by the mini movies with the
Muppets. They can play the mini games by themselves without signing up
for the long "cruise" that is the marathon-like game. We can play
anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 or 3 hours depending upon which way we
choose to play.
The graphics are not bad, although not quite as lifelike as Shrek.
However, Muppets Party Cruise is proving to take longer to beat,
is half the price of Shrek Super Party, and is available more readily!
It's a definitely keeper in our house!
